"There Is No God"

Put yourself in God's shoes for just one minute. After you have created the world and all life--including man, the most intelligent of your creation--one of your creations (the most intelligent one) says, "There is no God." How would that make you feel? <\p>

Maybe you really think there is no God. If that is the case, consider that the idea that "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" (Gen. 1:1) is more logical than any of man's theories. Virtually all scientists acknowledge that something cannot come from nothing and that life does not come from non-life forms. These are scientific facts. So every man owes it to himself to honestly look at the evidence and decide whether it is more logical to believe in God or the unscientific theories God's very creation has invented to do away with him.

Most people in the world today believe in a divine Creator. Whether they have all the details about the character of God or not they offer at least some respect and praise rather than offend him by saying he does not exist. The worst thing one can do in life is to offend God. From studying the history of the Jews we learn that as long as these people pleased God with their praise and obedience they prospered and were safe. But when they ceased to believe, and put their trust in other gods, they paid an enormous price.

By inspiration the psalmist wrote, "The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God” (Psa. 14:1). Rather than confirm oneself to be as God noted, by making such a foolish declaration, one should follow Paul’s advice: “Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is” (Eph. 5:17; 2 Tim. 2:15).

An enormous amount of evidence proves that God is our Creator. This evidence is available free to everyone who has access to the Internet. But God says one does not really need more than personal observation to believe in him: "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork” (Psa 19:1). His argument is this: “Look at the things I have designed and know that I AM.” Truly wise men know that design, by nature, does not happen by chance. With all the design in the universe how can one not believe in a great Designer?

God tells us, "I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God" (Isa 44:6b). Throughout the ages, many have believed the truth stated in the above text and because they responded to him in a pleasing way they were blessed. One such man was Isaiah, who wrote, "But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand" (Isa 64:8). How true! But how foolish for the creation to proclaim that the Creator does not exist!
